Summer Work

I've been keeping deliberately active with photography over the summer. Bound to no formal project, I've been doing a hodge-podge of different subjects; portraits, buildings, & snapshots of daily life. Though I want to put a cap on the “Hallows of Industry” project and conclude it, I've really exhausted many of the industrial zones in the local area, so it's been difficult and slow-going. Lately I've been doing a lot of portraiture, especially with my next-door neighbors. I've been good friends with them for a long time, and recently they've become comfortable enough with me where they let me photograph them occasionally.

I've decided not to take any classes this semester. In a lot of ways, this is a time much like 2006 & 07, when college classes were on the horizon, and I was out there on long walks with my camera taking pictures of nothing in particular, thinking about what I want to do with photography, and what kind of person I myself wanted to become.
This is an extremely transitional time in me, where I must make significant and difficult decisions about what I want to do with the next few years of my life. Fortunately, I've given myself many months to ponder and hopefully do what's best for me; and even more importantly, my photography.

Most of the work I've done over the summer has centered around my neighbors, and unfortunately they explicitly refused to give me permission to put their pictures online. Outside of that, the only really substantial pictures I've taken and scanned are the three below.
